Alan J. Nevins, DDS
Dr. Nevins is board certified in the specialty of Endodontics and is a current member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association.
As an endodontist, he performs root canal treatments as well as diagnosing the causes of oral and facial pain. Throughout treatment, Dr. Nevins gives his undivided personalized attention to ensure that his patients have the most comfortable dental experience possible.
Dr. Nevins is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. He has lectured and authored publications internationally in the specialty of Endodontics for the past 25 years.

Dr. Rita O'Dwyer
Dr. O’Dwyer was born and raised on Long Island and earned her dental degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in 2017. She completed a General Practice Residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and her Endodontic residency training at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.
Throughout her dental career, Dr. O’Dwyer has received numerous awards in endodontics, clinical care, and community service. She has a Master of Science in Oral Biology and has published research in the Journal of Endodontics involving the use of cone-beam computed tomography and has an in-depth research background in Regenerative Endodontics using stem cells. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the current Director of Pre-Doctoral Education in Endodontics at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. In addition, she volunteers at St. Charles Hospital GPR as an attending Endodontist in Port Jefferson. She is actively involved in endodontic research and attends continuous seminars in endodontics to maintain the best practices and deliver cutting-edge treatment and evidence-based dental care for her patients.
